Lake Manyara National Park is a picturesque and ecologically diverse park located in northern Tanzania, nestled between the Rift Valley escarpment and Lake Manyara. Although relatively small in size, the park offers a rich variety of landscapes—from groundwater forests and open grasslands to marshes and the alkaline lake itself. It is famously home to tree-climbing lions, large herds of elephants, and a vibrant population of flamingos and other bird species. Visitors can also spot hippos, giraffes, baboons, and antelopes. The park is ideal for a short but rewarding safari and serves as a convenient stopover for travelers en route to Ngorongoro Crater or Serengeti. Its compact size allows for excellent wildlife viewing within a few hours.
